Specialist learning support is offered to children at St Cecilia’s who have specific or general learning needs. The learning support team works in collaboration with classroom teachers to provide support and assistance for students. The team consists of a Learning Support Teacher working one day a week and two learning support assistants on two days a week. Students funded by SAISO are assisted through intervention in the form of in class support, small group activities and individual teaching. Support is also provided for children who d not fit the SAISO criteria for Commonwealth funding. Liason with class teachers, parents and outside agencies would also occur where necessary.
